We have been working collaboratively with Electricity Northwest on various important projects and campaigns.
One Voice Blackburn has produced a series of videos with key information in a variety of languages to promote Electricity North West’s Extra Care Register (ECR) and what to do in a power cut.
The videos include messaging in Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Arabic and English to ensure it is understood by everyone. They have been promoted on our social media platforms including YouTube.
We have also been conducting various focus groups and workshops with people of different backgrounds, ages and needs in Lancashire, including Blackburn, to gather information from individuals and communities where there is a lack of knowledge of the Extra Care Register, and where understanding of a power cut are low.
These communities in the main are generally hard to reach communities. We are supporting Electricity North west in gathering intelligence from those communities.
