An opportunity has arisen for a Community Development & Education Officer at One Voice Blackburn. 

THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated, driven and passionate Community Development and Education Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to play an integral role in improving the lives of young people and their families in Blackburn with Darwen. 

This role is to support males, both young and old, and equip them with the confidence, skills and knowledge. To support adults with skills and knowledge that will be needed to move into training and employment. 

This role will also support the literacy of the young people and adults in East Lancashire through a variety of projects which will include, but is not exclusive to, supporting the launch of tuition services administered by One Voice Blackburn.

THE PERSON

With experience of education, you will have successfully led a team to deliver educational programmes in the community, possibly in challenging circumstances, and have a passion for supporting adults and young people, which is underpinned by a professional qualification in education or equivalent skills and competence.  With experience of programming a diverse range of educational activities for young people and good organisational and IT skills, you are able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.  You will also be responsible for the male groups organised by One Voice Blackburn.
