1V Stem Club

The 1V STEM Club, launched by One Voice Blackburn, offers young people aged 6–18 exciting opportunities to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Led and delivered by young leaders, the club provides a supportive and engaging environment where participants can develop their skills, curiosity, and confidence.

Activities include coding, VEX robotics, LEGO Mindstorms, balloon-powered cars, and an annual science fair. Participants also have the opportunity to visit engineering sites and meet STEM ambassadors, helping them connect their learning to real-world pathways and careers.

Young participants take part in fun, hands-on activities such as egg-drop challenges, bath bomb making, and bottle rockets, projects they can proudly take home. For older students, the focus shifts to more advanced, large-scale projects including robotics and engineering challenges, allowing them to design, build, and programme solutions that reflect real-world technology.
