One Voice Blackburn have a whole host of talented young people that are part of our charity. It’s not just One Voice Blackburn but many other organisations that nurture and develop young people in our town/borough. We simply give them a platform to perform, excel and inspire.

We are pleased to introduce to you, the Aleeza Isa Interviews.

Aleeza Isa, 17, hosted the 1V Awards Dinner and the Christmas Lights Switch On in 2023. She has completed three live shows with the latest one having tsken place in early May 2025.

The talk show style event takes place in front of a live audience. It is filmed and recorded for social media including YouTube. Aleeza Isa interviews is held at the Hornby Lecture theatre, part of the Blackburn Library.

In her third show she interviewed Ram Gupta, Councillor Julie Gunn, and Jamie Holman.

When it comes to Blackburn’s philanthropic movement the name that comes to mind is Ram Gupta. A passionate supporter of charities and good causes across the town and beyond, his IT company, Nybble, is one of Blackburn’s most recognised brands. But Ram’s journey to success is rooted in humble beginnings and resilience. He was a guest on the latest show.

Councillor Julie Gunn is the Deputy Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. She spoke to Aleeza about her role, and also her diverse career from drama school to lecturer to local government.
