The 1V Awards 2025 nomination process commences on 1st September 2024. 

Nominations can be made for thefollowing 1V Awards:

1V Aya Hachem Young Person of the Year 2025

1V Group of the Year 2025

1V Man of the Year 2025

1V Woman of the Year 2025

1V Health Award 2025

Individuals and groups can enter multiple categories, and entries can be submitted on behalf of nominees or themselves. We ask those sending nominations to include as much information as possible within the word limit which is 200 words. Please read the criteria for each category before making a nomination. 

Nominations will close on 18th November 2024.

In the ‘nominated’ awards the highest number of nominations received in each category will go onto a shortlist of four. All the information gathered in the nomination process will then be passed onto the judging panel. The judging panel will contact shortlisted finalists for an interview in January 2025. 

The judging panel consists of four trustees of One Voice Blackburn charity and its Chief Executive officer. The judging panel will select a winner in each category based on the information received in the initial nomination process and the interviews which are conducted after the shortlist/ finalist announcement.

The shortlisted finalists will be invited to attend the 1V Awards Dinner where the winners will be announced in front of 450 guests at King George’s Hall, Blackburn.

There are a total of seven awards up for grabs at the prestigious 1V Awards Dinner. As well as the five ‘nominated’ awards we also have the John Roberts Outstanding Achievement Award which is selected by the trustees of One Voice Blackburn. The final category is the Leader’s Award which is jointly selected by the Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council and One Voice Blackburn. A nomination process for this award will commence in early November 2024.
