The 1V Women’s Network is a group that meets on a regular basis and strives to cater for the cultural and emotional needs of females in Blackburn, especially those from ethnic minorities and Asylum/Refugee backgrounds.
The group feed into the mainstream activities of One Voice Blackburn. The 1V Women’s Network highlight issues relating to health and well being, as well as employability and empowerment to create local female leaders. The group also work on community cohesion initiatives. Each year the group organises the One Voice High Tea event, which brings together the diverse communities of the town.
